Cheapest Website Builder 2025: Website Builders Under $10/Month

Ad disclaimer: For links on this page, EXPERTE.com may earn a commission from the provider. This supports our work and has no influence on our editorial rating.

Website builders have made the dream of having a website realistic and affordable. With them, you get everything you need to create and manage a website for a flat monthly fee.

However, "affordable" isn't the same as free: You'll still have to pay if you want a professional website with a domain of your choice. Apart from monthly subscription fees, you can expect additional costs if you're looking to set up an online store or offer your website in multiple languages.

Still, some website builders cost less than others. We've put together a list of the cheapest website-building plans to help you choose.

The Cheapest Website Builders

For this comparison, we only considered ad-free plans with a custom domain. Free website builder plans weren't included since they don't allow custom domains and only offer limited features.

Of the 14 providers we tested, 5 have plans that cost less than $10 per month. Here's a quick look at all of them, starting with the cheapest:

1.

Hostinger: Starting at $2.99 Monthly

Hostinger Website Builder
Hostinger Website Builder

Hostinger (formerly Zyro) makes creating professional websites easy and offers engaging templates for various industries. However, the design tools are less developed compared to the competition.

Hostinger is a web hosting provider from Lithuania that has been marketing an in-house website builder for several years. It was first called "Zyro" but has since been fully integrated into Hostinger's ecosystem. Hostinger's website builder combines its reliable hosting with a user-friendly website editor.

Hostinger's website builder emphasizes ease of use over complex layouts and design tools, making it a "quick start" solution (more about website builder categories later). This helps users quickly create attractive websites, even if they don't have programming or design experience.

Hostinger makes creating websites super easy for beginners.

Hostinger also stands out thanks to its solid selection of templates for different purposes and industries and useful built-in AI features.

What's Included in Hostinger's Cheapest Plan?

Hostinger only offers two website-building plans – Website and Business. The cheaper Website plan lacks ecommerce features and some advanced AI tools but has almost no other limitations – offering both unlimited web space and traffic.

What Are Hostinger's Pros and Cons?

  • 150 diverse templates

  • super quick setup, beginner-friendly interface

  • easily create multilingual websites

  • handy AI tools

  • limited features & customization options

  • no app store

  • not all AI tools are useful

  • no free trial

Webnode is a Swiss website builder designed for users who don't want to spend too much time designing their website. Just pick a template, add content, and you're done: Even beginners with no technical knowledge can create a working website with Webnode in no time.

However, its features are limited compared to other quick-start website builders. The design tools you get are basic, there aren't many design elements or content blocks to choose from, and for blogging, SEO, and ecommerce, you shouldn't expect any advanced options.

Webnode offers a limited selection of elements to customize your website.

You won't be able to create complex projects with Webnode – but if you need a website yesterday and design isn't your top priority, this platform is worth a look.

What's Included in Webnode's Cheapest Plan?

Webnode MINI, the provider's cheapest plan with a domain, comes with all the basics but has storage (1 GB) and bandwidth (3 GB) limits.

MINI is also short on a few features compared to Webnode's other plans: You can't add an online store to your website or create a multilingual website.

What Are Webnode's Pros and Cons?

  • 200+ templates

  • user-friendly editor

  • helpful support

  • only a few elements to choose from

  • very little design flexibility

  • limited blogging features

SITE123: Starting at $5.81 per Month

SITE123 intentionally limits design freedom to make website creation particularly easy: users can hardly go wrong with the design, but they also can't create truly unique websites.

SITE123 is a website builder from Israel. Like Hostinger and Webnode, it limits design options to make creating simple websites as easy as possible, even for complete beginners.

Thanks to SITE123's wide selection of section and page templates, users can set up a fully functional website for a variety of different purposes with little more than a few clicks. SITE123 comes with most standard features, from testimonials to portfolio sections. Another plus is their quick chat support.

SITE123 offers a solid selection of page templates.

The downsides are the same as with other beginner-friendly website builders: customization options are limited, and since there's no drag-and-drop, you don't have much control over your website's layout. The templates also look a bit generic.

What's Included in SITE123's Cheapest Plan?

The Basic plan (which you oddly won't find on the SITE123 website but can upgrade to from the free plan) gives you 3 GB each of storage and bandwidth. You'll have to do without ecommerce features, multilingual websites, and website statistics though.

What Are SITE123's Pros And Cons?

  • clean editor with a beginner-friendly interface

  • wide selection of page and section templates

  • great customer support (live chat)

  • limited customization options

  • generic design templates

  • confusing pricing

GoDaddy: Starting at $9.49 Per Month

Let's stay at the bottom of our ranking for a moment: GoDaddy came in dead last in our comparison of website builders.

The biggest problems for us were its limited customization options and small selection of templates. There were also performance issues that made building a website less fun. Whenever GoDaddy addresses these, its website builder will become a solid, beginner-friendly platform.

GoDaddy offers very limited template choices and design options.

What's Included in GoDaddy's Cheapest Plan?

GoDaddy's Basic plan doesn't include ecommerce features. It also limits marketing features like the number of social posts and email sends. However, there are no caps on traffic or the amount of pages you can add to your site.

What Are GoDaddy's Pros and Cons?

  • beginner-friendly interface

  • easy website creation with pre-made sections

  • limited customization options

  • poor SEO features

  • performance issues

  • no multilingual websites

Webador is a Dutch website builder intended for small businesses. It focuses on quick results and promises to get users online in as little as ten minutes.

While it usually takes a bit longer in practice, creating a website with Webador is still very straightforward. The editor is extremely user-friendly and easy to use, regardless of your experience level.

Webador works best for making simple website projects.

The downside is that Webador's design tools are severely limited, making the platform better suited for simple websites that don't need much customization. The templates cannot be customized too much, and there's no app marketplace or advanced features.

On the plus side, you can freely drag and drop elements, giving you more control over your website's layout than other beginner-friendly website builders provide.

What's Included in Webador's Cheapest Plan?

Webador's Pro plan comes with all basic features (except HD videos) and doesn't cap resources. You can even set up an online store, though it's limited to ten products. The plan also includes a 1 GB email inbox.

There is a cheaper Webador plan (Lite), but it displays ads on your website.

What Are Webador's Pros and Cons?

  • beginner-friendly interface

  • unlimited pages

  • unlimited storage & bandwidth

  • flexible layouts with drag-and-drop

  • only 54 templates

  • limited design options

  • no app marketplace

  • not many extra features

Drawbacks of Budget Website Builders

Cheap isn't always good: None of the website builders mentioned above made it into our top 5 - and some even finished at the bottom of our ranking.

If price is the most important factor for you in choosing a website builder, be ready to accept some trade-offs. First, it's important to know that we group the website builders in our comparison into four categories:

Different types of website builders serve different target groups.

  • 1.

All-rounders try to strike a good balance between flexibility and ease of use with their visual, no-code editors. They support custom designs and complex layouts, while still being accessible to web design beginners and novices.

  • 2.

Quick-starters deliberately limit design freedom to make website creation as simple as possible for beginners.

  • 3.

Pro builders target advanced users with web design experience who want to visually create their websites.

  • 4.

Gap fillers are neither particularly user-friendly nor flexible

As you can see, all the platforms mentioned in this guide are "quick-starter" website builders. If you want more design options, you'll need to spend more money. But that's not the only downside of budget website builders:

  • Limited customization options
Budget website builders often offer a small selection of templates with limited customization options. As a result, websites created with these builders tend to look similar.

  • Resource limits
Low-cost plans often come with strict storage and bandwidth limits, which makes them suitable only for small websites.

  • Missing features
Budget plans typically don't include advanced features like ecommerce integrations, AI tools, analytics, or the ability to create multi-lingual sites.

  • Mediocre support
Some providers only offer basic support in their cheapest plans, with enhanced or faster customer service reserved for higher-tier plans.

Alternatives

The cheapest website builders - and their lowest-priced plans - might be too limiting for the website you're planning. If you're looking for an alternative, check out our comparison of the best website builders.

Bottom Line

You get what you pay for - and the cheapest website builders are definitely not the cream of the crop. However, there are a few decent options that include a domain.

All of them, including the most affordable providers, Hostinger, Webnode, and SITE123, are primarily intended for beginners and simple projects since they prioritize ease of use over extensive personalization.

You'll also need to deal with some limitations: The cheapest plans either don't support online stores or offer very basic ecommerce features. What's more, their storage and bandwidth limits can negatively impact your website's growth.

With that said, these affordable options can still work out for simple projects on a budget or those built as a hobby - and you can always upgrade later.

Check out our detailed reviews of 14 website builders in our comprehensive EXPERTE.com Website Builder Comparison. Wix, which was our top pick, only costs $12 per month (domain included).
